Smell Test: Swiss Cheese as the name suggests certainly gives off a stinky queso aroma mixed with your neighborhood skunk. Definitely not the most delightfully aromatic medical marijuana strain around but one that is very unique. The interesting thing about this strain is that the scent of Swiss Cheese in the jar is so pungent that one would probably be turned off by its scent or incredibly fascinated by it. I was quite intrigued by this unusual smelling mmj and had to try it.

Sight Test: For how musky and odorous the scent of Swiss Cheese was, the appearance of the strain is incredibly impressive. The strain was not as dense as I thought it was going to be and was a tad fluffy. The Swiss Cheese leaves are full of crystals and even have a hint of purple spread out throughout the nug. In addition to the beautiful green and purple color of this strain, the orange hairs really add a nice complimentary color to the Swiss Cheese’s appearance. For a batch of Cheese this is one of the better ones that I have ever seen.

Pinch Test: My sample when broken up turned out to have a different scent then when observed in nug form. The Swiss Cheese when broken up smells a lot better and provided more of sweeter smelling scent. Also, when the nug became split up, I was impressed by the trichromes hanging so precariously to the leaves of this med. For the medicator in a bit of hurry, don’t worry about Swiss Cheese as a fussy strain to work with, even by hand it broke up perfectly, no grinder needed. The ease of breaking up this strain also allowed for a perfect rip from my bong when a B-line was used.

Taste Test: I was very intrigued to see if the Swiss Cheese would taste like it smells and it was a smoother greens inhale followed by a little bit of a rough exhale. Still was very smooth especially on my initial hit. This would not be a strain for someone looking for an excellent tasting med just as it was for the scent but the most important question of all is how medicating is it?

Brain Test: Considered a hybrid, I found this strain to be primarily sativa dominant and cerebral with a mellow medicating body high to compliment it. This strain certainly would be beneficial for someone with anxiety, possibly migraines, and a good overall strain for pain relief and joint issues. The one thing that makes Swiss Cheese an excellent medical marijuana strain is the length of the effect. It is heady early on and then the body high in conjunction with the cerebral effect last for a long time. Even an experienced medicator could minimally use this strain and be quite happy with the results. Check this strain out at SDHH, it truly is a gourmet Cheese.
